I never really expected I needed to write a journal about this, but I felt like it was sort of necessary as of late :'D

I'm quite certain that the majority of my watchers and people who add me to their DevWatch do this for the KND fanart I used to draw. Of course I am delighted every time I gain a new watcher, don't get me wrong, but if you're doing this because you're expecting to see new KND fanart, then I'm afraid I will have to disappoint you. As of this year, it'll have been four years since I last actively drew a picture. Think back what age you were at that point. It seems a fairly long time ago, doesn't it?

I'm still happy, very happy that those pictures still make others happy after all those years. Thank you so much for all the nice comments. Please don't feel upset or offended if I don't reply to your comments on the KND pictures, because truth is, after all these years I'm quite done with it. Don't get me wrong, I will always be fond of the show and feel nostalgic towards it, but that's it. All the rest is done. It has been four years since I last did something fandom-related. It's quite over.

So I hope you'll forgive me if I can't reply to all the comments, I hope that doesn't make me appear like a jerk, because I don't mean to. Whenever someone asks me a question, I try to answer it. But truth is, the questions are rather repetitive and after a while it gets kind of tiring to keep talking about something that no longer holds (much) of my interest. I hope you can understand. The KND fanart still seems to dominate most of my gallery. Like I said, I'm happy people are still happy with my old pictures, but it's no longer the main focus of my gallery. Or that is, at least, not my intention. At some point I considered just deleting all of the pictures, but since so many people kept being so happy about them, I couldn't do it. If something I made makes others happy, then that' good.

I think the main thing that set this off was when a person commented on my pictures and told how they preferred my own style to the KND one. I don't think that person realizes half of what an impact that had. I felt so grateful and happy that someone pointed out the new things I did instead of being pulled back towards something I did years ago and am no longer interested in.

Again, thank you so much for all the support I've gotten throughout the fandom. Thank you for all the kind comments and favs. I'll always be grateful towards the fandom, it gave me some pretty awesome friends. But it's over, I'm afraid. It's been over for a long time. There's still a lot of people out there who draw the characters, get out there and explore! Or draw your own! Over the years I've come to appreciate people's own interpretations of fanart much more than a copy of the style, which was basically what I did. I think that's also part of why my interest dropped. For some reason the style was never really difficult for me and didn't provide much of a challenge. I'm having so much fun discovering my own style and come up with my own characters, which also led me to meeting some great, new talented friends.

TL;DR: KND has been over for a long time, guys. I'm not going to draw it anymore. Thanks for the memories.

As a little extra, I'll add in a little FAQ (goodness knows I'd never expected to ever write one of these /ever/) 8'D Like I mentioned earlier, questions get kind of repetitive, so I thought this might answer any questions some people might have!

How do you draw KND?
I think I got this one the most. Truth is, there is no "secret" to it. Like I said, I never thought the style was pretty hard. The main advice would be: observe, observe, observe. What head shapes do the characters have? Where are their noses/eyes/hairlines. Who is taller/shorter? What I did at some point, was to take a screencap and drew the 'skeleton' on top of the picture to figure out a base form. That's basically it, really.

Though I cannot stress it enough: I prefer if you try to do your own thing. Don't copy like me 8'D

What materials/art program do you use?
Haha, this was so long ago, I didn't even own a tabet yet or knew what SAI was. I simply used a pencil to sketch the drawing, then traced it with a thin black marker. Next, I scanned the picture and removed the sketch in Photoshop (Select > Color Range (select the whites) > Delete). Then I put the linart layer on Mulitply and added colour on layers beneath it. If I were to do it now, I would draw everything with my tablet and lineart it in SAI.

Can you draw me a request?
No, sorry. Not non-KND-related either |'D

Can we do an art-trade?
Not those either, sorry. I get rather stressed out when having to finish something in time.

Can you please, please, please draw KND again?
No, sorry. It's been four years.

<any kind of KND-related question>
Whatever information I have, you can be sure to find online! KND even has its own wiki you can consult: knd.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

What are your thoughts on (KND-related theme)?
I probably won't get into this, I'm sorry. As I mentioned before, I'm done talking about it.

Okay, I guess that's it! It felt sort of weird writing about this, I hope it doesn't seem obnoxious or anything hahaha ;; I hope people can understand my sentiment about this.

Thanks a lot for reading!

Stay young <3

I'm new here and I honestly don't get the point behind watching someone. It just sounds creepy. When I see someone's art and I end up liking their art style(s) and/or content, I watch them to what they do. Half for inspiration, half because I like it.
